What is Climate Change?
According to (Google), it is the long-term shifts of temperatures and weather patterns. These shifts may be natural, but since the 1800s, human activities have been the main driver of Climate Change, primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels (like coal, oil and gas), which produces heat trapping gases. This heat trapping gases is the one responsible for destroying our Ozone Layer, which also causes Climate Change.
What are the Main Causes of Climate Change
Cutting Down Trees
We cut down trees for our farm, pastures, and for other reasons. But cutting down trees can also cause Climate Change, when they are cut, they release the carbon dioxide that they stored, since trees store carbon dioxide. Destroying them also limits nature's ability to keep the emissions out of the atmosphere.
Using Transportations
Most of the people use cars, trucks and other vehicles to transport them from place to place. And almost all of the vehicles run on fossil fuels, the carbon dioxide emissions that come from vehicles plays a big role in Climate Change. Thats the main reason why transportation is a major contributor of greenhouse gases.
Generating Power
We need electricity on almost everything that we do. Electricity makes our life easier, but it is one of the main reasons why we are experiencing Climate Change. Producing electricity requires the burning of fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas and it causes a large chunk of global emissions.
How Climate Change Affect our Society
Climate Change have a big impact on our society. It could affect a number of different social, cultural, and natural resources, it could also affect our health. Some of our crop's won't be able to survive the sudden change of temperatures. Climate Change may especially impact people who live in areas that are vulnerable to coastal storms, drought, and sea level rise and people who live in poverty, older adults and immigrants' communities.
How to Prevent Climate Change
We have a lot of ways to prevent Climate Change, we can plant some trees to replace the ones that we lost, we can also encourage the people to recycle, reuse and repair to reduce the production of industry that causes Climate Change. Instead of using cars or vehicles in transportation, instead we can use bicycles or simply just walk if we're not going that far. if you're going on a holiday, why not see if you can rent an electric car to help cut down on your emissions. We need to protect our Mother Nature so let's spread awareness about Climate Change.
